@happyheart_happyhome: I got to the auction right at start yesterday. I saw the first horse nose peeking out from under the bleachers where the “worst cases” wait to go through first before the nice riding horses. I could see that nose was white and pink. Definitely a draft nose. And then he came out… the first one of the day, scared and shy, frail and limping. I said if nothing else today.. I can help this old man; and I threw my hand up. Pa (who I named grandpa horse) got brought in later and I waited for him- as well as rescuing another sweet soul for a good friend of mine. I did one drop off for another rescue and when I came back for Pa and Mater (who I named this big fellow- has anyone seen cars?) they were bonded, eating hay together like they’ve been best friends their entire life. They haven’t left each others side since ❤️. . . This is the good. This is the power of community and love. This is the path I will continue to see down and walk alongside you all. . . Today is $2 Tuesday. We just had a shipment of hay come in this morning which was $2,600. If you are up for it, please consider supporting Mater’s care and helping us feed all these big kids. I will never be able to thank you enough for the work you all do to make this possible. I am blessed and so grateful. : . VNMO: HHHHFR24 PYPal: [email protected] . .
