@amylynncharp: Whether you want to lose, gain or maintain weight PROTEIN is important. It’s a necessity for our bodies. I hear it all the time. I get questioned all the time and the first mention of protein it’s always the same damn thing. Peanut butter. 🙄 Honestly, it’s a great additive in making higher protein snacks. For example, I add a couple scoops of pb2 to my protein powder on the side of a 50g protein meal in order to eat 80g in that sitting. Logically, we should be eating 1g per pound of goal weight. For example, if your aim is 130lbs then you should be eating 130g protein. Now I’m a lower carb higher fat type of person (this depends on your body as mine thrives on fats). Peanut butter is a little higher on the fats chart. So if you’re not balancing those macros, you could be hitting a snag. Getting in our needed source of protein can sometimes be super frustrating, but not impossible! As someone who put off protein powders for so long due to wanting more grassfed intake in my diet it was super hard for me to reach my goals without feeling overwhelmed half the time.
