@madymills: Trump is president again. What does that mean for stocks and the economy? 1. Inflation is likely going up Trump promised 60% tariffs on chinese imports. This will likely cause inflation. That’s what all those Nobel Laureates were worrying about. JPMorgan says this could hurt company earnings too, but Trump’s corporate tax cuts could reverse some of that pressure on profits. Expect more inflation and potentially higher for longer interest rates as a result. 2. Stocks go up Markets rally regardless of who’s in office because big tech is king, but the inital rally off this result indicates more gains to come. Markets don’t like surprises and they know what they’re getting with Trump.
