@jaydlyn_joan_artistry: What’s more important? The preservation of an incredibly rare fern, thats critically endangered and only grows in three small locations in the entirety of Canada? Or a small scale magnesium mine for the financial gain of a very small anount of people- magnesium which is not rare, and can be obtained easily from other sources. Is this the kind of world we want to live in? One where one small company can wipe something from existence for their own gain? Take this fern from the rest of Canada, the rest of the world, take it from our future generations? For nothing but a few bucks? F* that. There is no legislation put in place to protect the Mountain Holly Fern, just us, the people that live here. This piece was created to be auctioned off at a fundraiser here in my town to aid in the efforts of stopping this agregious act from happening.
