@randybachmanofficial: Today in #MusicHistory 1970, @Aerosmith performed their first-ever gig at a High School in Mendon, MA. They went on to become the best-selling American rock band of all time, selling over 150 million albums worldwide. They also hold the record for the most gold and multi-platinum albums by an American group. A few years after this around '73, they opened for us when the first Bachman-Turner Overdrive album was out. Steven Tyler came into the dressing room and I had no idea who he was. He was dressed incredibly eccentric and my manager thought he must've been a wild fan who got past security somehow and insisted he be shown out. "Dream On" had just broken on radio. When I saw the opening act and realized it was him, I had to apologize after and we had a good laugh. Many years later, they recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver and I was contacted to supply a few Gretsch #guitars for their album session. Great guys, incredible musicians and they've been going full steam an incredibly long time. #rocknroll #throwback #legend
