On this episode of #IAintGotAMan things are getting intense with this contractor. These 3 mins went by so quick and I couldn’t fully explain everything and let you watch it play out as well so here’s the breakdown: - There was no contract but a verbal conversation on the phone on Thursday. - Friday they came to stake it. - Saturday morning they were supposed to pour but then he called me & told me that he needed the full payment cash up front. I spent hours trying to reach a resolution with him to get him paid for the full job but he declined and wanted cash only. - Saturday afternoon, I told him I was going to go with another company and that he can come pick up his stakes. He told me that he couldn’t until Monday or Tuesday. I had a flight on Tuesday. - Saturday, I got it poured from another company and they had to redo the stakes because it wasn’t done properly. - Monday he came to pick up his re-used stakes and purposefully broke my concrete (with my own tool that he got out of my garage which I didn’t realize until after the fact) after I told him that I would pay him $200 because that’s what the other companies were quoting but he STILL wouldn’t accept my credit card, Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal. Listennnnnn, I don’t care what yall say on this app, as a business if the only thing that you accept is cash, that is THE FIRST THING that you tell your clients, not after you’ve already started the job. It IS NOT my responsibility to jump through a million hoops to help YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS, even though I was kind enough to try. And then for him to be all in my face huffing & puffing after I was STILL willing to pay him for a job that wasn’t even done properly was where I drew the line. At this point, go with God.
