@deanlewis: the second photo is a photo my dad took of me when I played my first ever pub show in London. my dad and i caught the tube one Friday night and we both carried my guitar and keyboard all the way to the pub from the cheap hotel. I was on stage first, and everyone talked the entire time throughout my set. I went backstage and felt so defeated and embarrassed. 8 years later here I am at rod laver arena doing 2 nights. It’s hard to put into words all the little failures it took to get to this moment. from all the small shows, to coming outside and getting photos and playing extra songs to anyone who cared. I see it all now and how far I’ve come. I know that it doesn’t last forever, and this may be THE moment for me. This may be as big as it gets (despite how hard I will continue to try) and maybe this is the that moment in time I’d always aimed for when I set out to that little pub with dad and me carrying my guitar. and if that’s the case or Not I just want to say thankyou to everyone who has helped along the way!!! It means the world. Here we go baby!!
