Media should not be allowed to publish a person has criminal allegations/charges against them, until after a conviction. Or better still until the appeal process has been exhausted.

I completely agree but do you think there should be exceptions to this and if so where is the line drawn. The only reason I can think of that made this legal is if there is a genuine risk to the safety of others if they reoffend, or worse, while on bail. It happens now even when named, others may be braver if no one knows.

Sounds like the prosecutor was a scumbag as well. If someone is found not guilty so easily then the prosecutor was likely malicious in bringing a rubbish case.
