THIS was INTENSE/ Easter weekend OUTREACH (This is why we ask for prayer) Out of the many years of preaching in the streets I would say that last nights Outreach was the most intense, obvious displays of the very real spiritual battle that we are in. So Ahead of Outreach I was hit with a massive wave of random anxiety/sickness (as were another few of the team at the very same time ) so we knew but it was likely to be a battle in the streets but just of how much of a battle would surprise us! We got to the city centre around 8pm and met with a few new people who wanted to join the work. All was eerily quiet until the name of Jesus was mentioned and instantly a very rowdy yet diverse crowd gathered! I cannot explain the atmosphere simply by typing it here however: -One young pagan girl was desperate to hear the good news but was yelled at and name called by a clearly troubled / oppressed person claiming to believe the gospel ( very much like acts) but yet the girl pressed on until she was physically dragged away by her peer group to a bar, this was particularly sad but a very obvious demonstration of how the seed does get snatched. - a mob of young Muslims who were hanging around on the monument began screaming over the preaching, throwing things and circling the team however the Holy Spirit brought courage and boldness and the gospel was preached. I do have concerns for this new wave of radical Islam in the youth especially UK. - Another group of young people wanted to hear the gospel, again were mocked and this stirred them up to anger and we have to stop fights from breaking out, again young people are hungry for the word but the devil trying to stop them from hearing it. All of this happened within a very intense 40mins, unfortunately there is no audio to the video that was recorded but I’m absolutely certain that if they had been it will be undeniable to many just how obvious this battle is! So much so I may do a podcast on it. However the gospel was preached! And the gospel is good news because Jesus Christ is alive and well! The king lives and because the king lives we have an eternal hope that one day we will be with him in the kingdom together forever praise God! So have a blessed Easter Weekend whatever that will look like for you and I will see you soon God willing.
