Restaurant Yuu  This dinner was a wonderful experience and I will most definitely be going back. Sometimes when I eat at a tasting menu I leave very hungry, or about to explode. The menu was thoughtful,delicious, and paced very well. And I also got to visit a friend at work!  What I ate: Amuse bouche: 1. Kohlrabi with shiitake tsukudani, yeast and tarragon mayo 1. Salmon roe with brown butter and nori emulsion, cucumber 1. Daikon with miso butter, sunchokes, and apricot 1. Mussel with shiso leaf tempura, pickled fennel, and ume gelee  1. Foie gras mousse, whiskey, honey crisp apple, and red miso Mains: 2. Oyster with sugar snap peas 3. Live scallop, mignonette gelee, and radish 4. Charred surf clam, caviar, chive, celeriac, fava beans 5. Abalone risotto- tsuyahime rice, kombu dashi, bamboo shoots, uni, rice tuile, nori powder  6. A5 wagyu shabu shabu, dashi, bamboo shoots, raspberry ponzu, chive oil  7. Grilled lobster, melon, pernode, mustard greens, dehydrated black olives 8. Onion brioche with nori butter  9. Arctic char with trout roe, white asparagus, and creme fraiche  10. Squab ballotine with cabbage, foie gras, port and grape sauce 11. Canard (duck pie) with black pepper cognac and foie gras reduction sauce  Desserts : 12. mojito, mint, lime, tonic water foam, white rum 13. Sakura, wild strawberries, rosé The meal was finished up with a cup of peppermint tea and some mignardise (marshmallow, chocolate, and macaron)  And they sent me home with even more bites to enjoy later! And very thoughtful of the team, they congratulated my cookbook launch on both the printed menu and a slice of cake 🥲
