What training spit is the absolute best for muscle growth? The full body VS Upper / Lower Debate has been going on for way too long. Realistically, they will both be great options, they just both have their positives and negatives. Positives of the Full Body 3x / Week Split: - More frequency for the target muscle / more weekly stimulus - Likely less overall fatigue due to less training sessions Positives of the Upper / Lower 2x / Week Split: - More leeway in your training - Easier to prioritize Muscle groups - Likely easier to program for the average gym go-er Negatives of the Full Body 3x / Week Split: - Harder to prioritize multiple muscle groups while also trying to reduce fatigue - Less leeway in your training Negatives of the Upper / Lower 2x / week Split: - Possibly / Likely slightly less growth in comparison to a full body split (When programmed properly) - Slightly more fatigue from 1 extra day of training. At the end of the day, both of these options are going to be great splits for hypertrophy. Although training a muscle 3x / week MAY cause slightly more hypertrophy.
