Most places dont make cheeseburgers they make ground beef sandwiches. If you need a bunch of lettuce, tomato, bacon, and sauces to make it pallatable, try getting better beef, cheese, and bread.

I always found that the hamburger is the default food item to judge every restaurant by. If their burger is great chances are everything else is.

Use burgers to pay the rent and keep the lights on. Then you can put more interesting items and specials on the menu that you like (and hopefully the guests too).
