You always say be a leader, but how to do that without being an authoritarian? I don't teach authoritarian style parenting - I teach leadership. There’s a big difference. A leader leads with fun - you want to connect with your kids and have fun with them. As a parenting leader, fun can be your superpower. Humor and fun for kids is their love language. When they enjoy you, and like who they are with you, everything just gets easier. Connection is the most important part, connect with them, make them feel good about themselves. I deal with bad behavior, but then all my focus and energy goes into the good kid, goes into connecting, and into making them feel good about themselves.
