We named our second daughter Murphy, my wife’s idea. Interstellar is truly special - although I’ve always found it sadder that his son never got to see him again.

No dialogue, yelling, props or forced overacting. He sat there with a screen and conveyed pure raw emotion. Best scene of his career and one of the best ever in my opinion. Truly a masterclass.

My daughter is named Murphy after Interstellar. Murph is told by her dad that she’s named after Murphy’s law, “whatever can happen will happen.” We needed IVF and that scene helped me have hope.
