@metalbonesjewellery: It’s not what you’re thinking, and no, the core of the ring is not wax… 😄 ….The wax melts away in a process called investment casting leaving behind a cavity where molten metal is poured; silver, gold, brass or bronze. Outsourcing is common practice and a good option for those who do not have the luxury of space, time and money (or simply no desire to work directly with molten metal).
