@chefjjskitchen: Shakrie @alkhamayil Ingredients: - 2 kgs lamb shanks - 2 kgs @alkhamayil yogurt - a big handful baby onions ( or 2 large onions) - 2 sticks of cinnamon - 4 cardamom pods - 6 peppercorns - 4 cups of water - salt & pepper - handful of pine nuts - 1 tbsp of ghee - pinch of dried mint - 3 tbsps corn starch - start by salting then boiling the meat with all the aromatics and 4 cups of water for an hour and a half or till the meat is tender to your liking. - peel the baby onions and add them to the meat at the last 10 minutes to keep their shape. If you use large chopped onion just add it at the beginning of the cooking process. - add 3 tbsps of cornstarch to the yogurt and whisk it very well. Add it to a pot and place it on high heat while whisking. Once it boils add the meat and onions to the yogurt and let them cook on low for 10 minutes. - pour it in a bowl and drizzle toasted pine nuts with its ghee on top a sprinkle of dried mint. Serve it with rice and enjoy.
