Having a STEM kid in small town Canada where hockey is life, is so difficult. There’s nothing for my kid to do or join, because everything is centered around hockey and only hockey.

Minor hockey was a huge part of my life growing up 40 years ago. At that time it was very toxic, mostly the adults. Now it’s the kids who played in my era, and they’ve taken it to a whole new level

I’m from a small town in Canada so hockey is a massive part of childhood and the guys who were “good” had a terrible problem with sending unsolicited messages of a nsfw nature to a lot of the girls
