The 12 versions of the Christ mythology was brilliant. The irony of it finding myself sympathizing with the villain in the first half of the film. His deconstruction confrontation, so satisfying.

I think the unsatisfying ending was kinda the point of the movie, the realization of what was really happening and the typical horror vibes are meant to correspond with the disappointment of religion

If you were raised in religiously neautral area and/or nonreligious home, the plot points are obvious and not satisfying. we never had to deconstruct these things. love it for others, though.

I think the smaller maze was symbolic of how no matter what size of a trap you are involved in if you are under someone else’s control and puppeteering, you’ll never have a opportunity to escape
