@_jazreyes: Part 1 of 3 Special Tinghun (Chinese Engagement) Dresses. Kicking it off with the dress that travelled 4 different countries to get to one moment. • I found @putrimudita online and immediately fell in love with the attention to detail but I was even more impressed by the structure, fit, professionalism and artistry of this Indonesian designer. Who knew tinghun dresses are masterfully made in Indonesia? Even my Chinese relatives and friends were amazed by the craftsmanship because they have never seen a Chinese designer make such a detailed piece. “They don’t make it like this in China” - my Chinese hairdresser. • I knew I wanted a dress that I can rewear (which was the initial goal; thus making it in pink versus red because most weddings don’t like red, white or black) but my fiancé told me that I should frame it as it was a true work of art. (Does anyone know where I can have this framed in the PH? Dm me!) • Embroidering memories truly made this one of my most cherished piece of clothing in my closet. I can look at it and rewear it with fondness of such a special time in my life. I hope you can enjoy my sharing all of the details and work involved in crafting this piece. #tinghun #tinghunph #chineseengagement
