Being completely transparent… Answering the question everyone is thinking! “Should I be tipping my Bridal Makeup Artist?”💄 The answer: YES. Let me first just say, I know weddings are super expensive and makeup & hair can cost a lot NOT including tip so just that little extra amount can add up! However, let me put it this way. Would you go out to a restaurant and order a super expensive meal knowing that you would not be able to give the server a tip? Would you go get your nails done knowing you were not able to give a tip? Would you go get a full head of highlights and color knowing you were not going to leave the hair stylist a tip? In all of these scenarios, most everyone (if you aren’t, you should!) takes into account the price of tip on top of their service price. The same goes for Bridal / wedding day / special event makeup. As makeup artists, we are fully customizing a look specific to YOUR skin care wants and needs. We are asking about your skin type, skin/makeup allergies, matching your foundation according to your skin type (matte, dewey, satin), using color theory to color correct, lifting and creating symmetry on the face using contour, covering acne, dark circles, etc. you name it! We are up close and personal and analyzing your features to give you the best look possible according to your facial features and bone structure. Makeup is PERSONAL. The entire makeup experience is personal. Everyone wants to feel the most beautiful on the most important day of their life or their friend’s life. Everyone has specific things they want to cover, conceal, or enhance and we listen to all of your needs to do exactly that. No shade to hair stylists (because I could never do what they do!), but there’s a reason people book out their wedding MUA years in advance because makeup is personal to each individual. There is a reason wedding day makeup is expensive. Because it is a LUXURY. Luxury services & experiences come at a luxury cost! Make sure you are taking into account tip for not only Bridal makeup, but for bridesmaids, mothers, attendants, etc! Every tip is appreciated🤍
