Honestly, call her momma and she what she says. If it were my daughter and just a short period of time (less than 6mon) the hoodie should be returned. If over then it's a write off.

I still wear my ex’s jacket it’s a really good jacket and my husband knows where it came from. But I have seen it goes both ways I helped convince a friend to give back her ex’s wrestling hoodie

I guess it depends- in my daughter current situation- when he cares about it enough to come get it. Every other time she’s just give it back. This one lives an hour away and I ain’t taking to him.

Might I suggest not getting them back. My now husband gave me three of his hoodies in HS and it’s an ongoing joke. I’ve bought him so many Carhart hoodies since.

I gave up all the hoodies I had from ex's. and that's how I'm raising my kids. also if someone kept my son's expensive hoodie that I bought him I would be having a talk with the ex girlfriends parents

I never understood this whole thing (maybe it's my ADHD) but if I broke up with a boy and he asks for his hoodie back i just give it back its not mine and really I could just buy it myself

Ask NICELY. As a momma of girls, I saw the reverse. As long as the parent didn’t come at me for their son losing the hoodie or say something sideways about my daughter, hoodies got returned.
