there are a lot of reports of a lot of return requests on steam. Almost as many returns as preorders. After that, look at player count. It's pretty bad.

Here’s also just a fac. The last Dragon Age game, Inquisition, won GOTY. Veilguard wasn’t even nominated. Yes, sales are good, but it doesn’t hide the abysmal writing.

500k sale. If BioWare gets average 50$ for each unit is 25m$ the Game costs a Minimum of 100m€ we talking about atelast 75% loss. There is a reason they said NO dlcs for the Game. Go woke go broke.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was people that bought the game solely for the purpose to return it in order to try and damage/destroy bioware

Per Steam DB 500~600k players is a roughly correct estimate of units sold solely on steam. That said the videogame industry is incredibly cagey about their numbers so we don't know the reality

it doesn't honestly, most b/c we haven't seen console sales yet only steam. I had a heck of a time tracking down a copy, had to do digital, cause only xbox copies were pre-orders in my town.

EA/Bioware games have been on EA App/Origin for such a long time now, a lot of people on PC may not even realise it's available conveniently (no requirement to run EA app) on steam.

Well I always loved dragon age i played multiple times almost every single title but dragon age veilguard is just boring dragon age lost his true content for woke community and i don't say it's bad1/2

At peak there were 89k people playing DA:V. comparing to something like Dragons dogma 2 that had 220k and sold around 2 milion copies sounds reasonably possible for sales not to hit a million.

I don’t hate the game and I hope that the ones who bought it can enjoy it. I couldn’t enjoy it because of the bad writing/dialogue. It removed the immersive experience completely for me.

it fell from being a top seller rather fast, that's usually a poor indication of great sales on steam. losing a top ten spot even more so. that doesn't necessarily mean it sold poorly. but it's low
