been using a straightener to curl for years. This is the same thing is clamping the hair and twisting the straightener. which you can do closer to the scalp to get a longer curl.

You don’t even have to do all that just flip the straightener away from you and pull down guiding your hair in the middle of the plates. It’s the only way I’ve curled my hair since middle school.

You can also just grab the hair with the straightener, flip it 180 degrees, and pull. No need to do the fancy loops
