If you love this book you should also check out Everyone Knows What a Dragon Looks Like. Mercer Mayer’s art is stunning. I feel like it’s even more detailed than Sleeping Beauty.

I love that this art style is reminiscent of Celtic and Nordic styles with the staves, knots, and furs. Perhaps a nod to the Volsunga Saga (one of the potential SB origin stories). So beautiful!
