🚨 This is an urgent post about a kitten named Toast - that’s what the shelter named her. This tiny kitten was found in the aftermath of an encampment fire, suffering from severe burns across her little body. She suffered wounds to her face around her eyes, her ear tips, and her paw pads. She’s already been hospitalized for two days and she is currently en route to our vet for at least another day of medical boarding. We don’t know her story before that moment, but we do know this: she is a survivor, and we are committed to giving her every chance at a full recovery. Toast is only nine weeks old, but the injuries she’s sustained are heartbreaking. Despite the pain, Toast has shown incredible strength and resilience, reaching out for love and comfort when we thought she might be too frightened to do so. Toast’s recovery is just beginning, but we can’t do it alone. She requires extensive veterinary care to treat her burns, manage her pain, and prevent infection.
