The directors cut is the superior version. It fills in a few things that we don’t see transition in the theatrical version and scenes that add so much more depth to the characters. Worth the rewatch

The director was questioned about his choice and he asked them what kind of music he should have chosen. They said orchestral. He pointed out that that would have been equally anachronistic
