@pbsnews: What Trump’s second term could mean for military members and veterans The full extent of President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for the Pentagon and Department of Veterans Affairs is not entirely clear, but he's likely to reverse some of the Biden administration's policies while reinstating others from his first term. Ali Rogin speaks with Leo Shane III, deputy editor of Military Times, to learn more. #pbsnews #pbsnewshour #newshour #military #veterans #veteran #veteransday #activeduty #VA #pentagon #dod #donaldtrump #trump #trumpadministration

I have had to use community care but I prefer all my care at BayPines Fl. I was fortunate to have the same VA Doc for 10 years until he retired. Since then I went through a few.

The issue is: you can already see outside care through the VA. You have to get permission but you can already do this

For people in rural areas, community care has been awesome. Otherwise we have to drive over an hour to get to a VA facility.

As a veteran I've never had to use the VA health care system. I hope that both sides work together to improve it for those who need it. At least new ideas are being presented rather than sticking with the old broken system. I believe Trump will do what he can to improve the system. He truly does love America.

Emphasis on "IF THE VA WILL PAY" for community care. I def like the prospect. VA docs cancel all the time. Having an extra net with the doc down the street is preferable. esp for routine checkups

Just know wait times are far longer in the community versus most VA’s.
