We suffered a major loss at our barn.. please pray for his owner as she had to say goodbye to a dear friend of 25 years, her heart horse Biarritz. Their story is one out of a fairytale, the first clip is him winning top 10 honors for the Arabian halter class as a 2 year old colt in Scottsdale 1997, two years later they met while she was inquiring to purchase Biarritz as a 4 year old and the rest is history. I tried to capture how beautiful their bond was and what a blessing he served to so many people, including me. His owner visited him nearly every day, even after he was retired from riding. He knew her car and would pace in excitement and whinny the minute she pulled in the driveway. they truly were meant for each other. There is now an empty spot where he once stood in the pasture/ barn and he will forever be missed. Biarritz was an incredibly special boy, a legend in his own right, and I feel very blessed to have been a part of their journey together.
