My in-laws brought my son to the hospital and we let him come see baby when he was ready. Didn’t force kissing or holding, we let him decide all of that.

Don’t overthink it! Let things happen naturally and I have never heard heard about the toddler feeling the baby is being replaced with the mom in the hospital bed with the baby. Boy mom of 3 here☺️
