@basictrainingbible: The 4 Points of the #Cross You notice the four points of the cross. The arm pointing left is pointing to your past, and your past has been paid and forgiven and paid in full. That is not only the sins of the past, but at the point in the past that you trust in Christ, past, present, and future were all taken care of. It's the love of the father and the love of Christ that made it possible for Christ to come into this world, to take your sin and my sin on the cross, so that it was no longer an issue; Itâ s paid in full. That's redemption. We look upward. We look to God the Father, and we see the doctrine of propitiation. Propitiation means that God the Father was totally satisfied with the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. The Scripture says, â He is the propitiation for our sins and not for our sins only, but for the sins of the entire world. God the father is satisfied with the payment of Christ for every member of the human race. Every member of the human race is potentially savable. There's only one thing that remains a barrier, and that is unbelief, that God has already accepted the payment. It's like someone pays for you to go on a cruise and it's paid in full, and then you decide whether to get on the ship or not. That's propitiation. Then we see the arm that points forward. That is the doctrine called justified. To be justified is to be declared righteous — to be declared as a possessor of the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When you and I enter into the throne room of God, however much we may have stumbled, however much we may have failed, we are to enter boldly into that throne of grace, because we enter as one who is ... Ephesians 1:5, “… accepted in the Beloved…” That means God accepts you as He accepts His own Son, Jesus Christ. Now we look at the bottom of the cross. That's where we are today. We have the redemption of our sins, the propitiation of our father, and justification full and complete. The question is, where am I today in light of those three marvelous truths?
I am to be sanctified. Moment by moment. To be sanctified means to be “walking in the spirit,” to be “filled with the Spirit.” To be “abiding in Christ.” There are many, many different phrases that we can use, but sanctification is both a finished work and a work in progress. We are sanctified completely in the sight of God positionally, but we are being sanctified moment by moment, as we grow in grace and truth. So to be sanctified is to be “conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ.” #sho#shortsb#bibleib#BibleStudyb#bibleversees#jesusal#salvations#jesuschristed#redemptiones#jesuslovesyour#christianityhr#christd#godev#devotionalife
