That’s bs there is no way the frame bent from a 2 feet drop, seems like the oil pan maybe the backsplash and other small components but there is no way that small drop bent the frame

Should’ve taken the check. At the need of the day it’s a 2003-2008 dodge ram 1500. You can find a used top trim 4x4 one with good mileage for about 5-7k

Oof the problem is that if she sues, she won’t get more than the current value of the truck. And that truck is not worth 20k anymore. She should have taken the 13k.

I'm a estimator at a body shop. You can just set it up on a frame machine and measure it to see if the frame is truly bent. I've seen lower impact accidents bend frames it's not that uncommon.

as a tow truck driver that drop was about 2 feet. because of seeing how low the bed bar was to the ground and ive had trucks get my rollback stuck on the driveway. and some parts not available bull

she shouldn't have to pay anything ti get it fixed!!! that's the point. the check wasnt going to fully cover for the repairs. shes not asking for tok much. shes asking for her truck the way it was!! the check isn't enough to cover for the repairs, I wouldn't expect it either. cover for it fully, shes not the one who did that to her truck.

towing is technically illegal. damages are the responsible of the towing company by federal law. it's legal to tow if the vehicle is on private residential property or is blocking egress or safety routes. private business open to the public don't actually quality as private property.
