7 months postpartum BODY RECOMP! No, I havent dieted at all postpartum. I have eaten intuitively and havent even lost much “weight” on the scale, but my body composition is different. Ive gained muscle and lost some fat! This is why I usually suggest NOT focusing on dieting postpartum. Often times, just the introduction of a progressive overload program, moving your body with walking or increasing NEAT, eating sufficient calories, will be enough to recomp intitally. Postpartum, youre getting what is similar to “newbie gains” when you first start the gym where you can rebuild muscle and lose some fat easier than when you get farther into your fitness journey. One of the reasons I love that postpartum return to fitness! It is a fun challenge. My goal here is not to focus on how I look postpartum, but more so to to show how focusing on your daily habits and everything else can then cause aesthetics to become a natural byproduct . Things to focus on postpartum: REST and rehab first and foremost, regaining strength, retraining functional movement patterns, moving your body in a way that feels good to you, eating sufficient calories to sustain your recovery, getting enough quality sleep, your mental health, staying hydrated, self care, bonding with baby, your relationships and happiness, etc. If you need more guidance through your pregnancy and postpartum journey, id love to help through my fitness app 🫶🏻 more info in my bio #postpartumfitness #bodyrecomposition #bodyrecomptransformation #postpartumrecovery #postpartumbody #postpartumstrength #newmom #postpartumcoach #pregnancycoach #GymTok #FitTok #momsintofitness
