You made a mistake Seyi. The actual fact of if the parent pays N15m and decide not to pay again, he or she has not achieve the purpose of picking up that policy with a target of N50Million. If this is done, the policy becomes dormant until when he resumes his due diligence which is payment of annual premium and if anything happens to him during the phase of him not paying his premium the N50M won’t be paid to the beneficiaries because the policy wasn’t active at the point of death. But if he has been contributing/performing his due diligence yearly and dies while the Policy is active, even if it’s N10million premium he has paid , the insurance company owe his beneficiaries N50million. The NAICOM RULE IN NIGERIA SAYS NO PREMIUM, NO COVER. This isn’t limited to only Education policy but all INSURANCE POLICIES offered in Nigeria 🇳🇬 in respective of the company.
