I work as an election judge on vote days. Paper ballots are scanned, saved on a memory card, and both are physically returned to the county clerk. They are ALSO transmitted by sat relay that night.

You don't need to hack the voting machines to rig an election, you just gerrymander the place to shit and close polling places in areas that don't vote the way you like. Conspiracy theories like this

You are again ofc completely right. As for personal experience I have used it a lot in eastern europe, africa, and south america for OT plants, mostly as a backup curcuit. It works fine in these cases
