Bitcoin was in the spotlight on All Things Considered yesterday, and the biased narrative framed cryptocurrency as inherently problematic and aligned with crime. By misrepresenting crypto as aligned with only one party, merely speculative, and overlooking its potential as a non-partisan tool for transparency and empowerment, NPR does a disservice to its progressive audience and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the subject. This kind of reporting not only misinforms and misguides, but risks hindering innovations that could benefit us all—way beyond money.
