@cbcnews: Marketplace puts Air Canada to the test again with the help of Paralympian and podcast host Brock Richardson. They find there is still a lot of turbulence when it comes to accessible travel. #AirCanada #Accessibility #CBCMarketplace #CBCNews
I definitely believe they should be more accessible 100%, but flying on an airplane is a privilege not a right.

I am completely speechless on this matter. As a Paramedic I move people everyday. I make sure the support person is there all the time. This is 2024 and there is more equipment available.

Only 27?? Shouldve ordered a couple hundred.. so each airport where Air Canada flys to has access to multiple lifts. Also every airport should have lifts available.

They don't want the support person there as a witness if they're to make a mistake and drop the passenger

I'm afraid to travel with the way they deal with wheelchairs. I'm terrified it will be broken when we arrive. It also doesn't fold and has electronics that can be easily destroyed. Then what?

Air Canada only flies into 51 airports around Canada.A better solution might be for Airports to provide them at each gate across Canada.

He's saying everyone else gets to choose how they get put into their seat but if The average person asks for a lift they will be declined so he's already being hypocritical

There should be more accessible everywhere and I'm not defending Air Canada, but the Fredericton airport is smaller than most Costcos. There is only a single gate/waiting area prioritizing /1

It’s unfortunate that airplane companies (and almost all companies) don’t care about accessibility, because only a small percentage of clientele require additional resources.
