Simply measuring dissolved solids tells you nothing. Healthy minerals in water, for instance, will give you a higher reading, while something like an unhealthy level of arsenic, such as 100 parts per billion, would be undetectable by this device. The device will also not detect fungi or bacteria.

You're confusing "clean" with "pure." Natural water has minerals derived from its source. Many minerals are even desirable. Your tester equally detects good and bad content. Not helpful.
