@rebwccarose25: Clearing up a little confusion from people asking her signs and saying they didnt see them ❤️ #fyp #girlmom #autismmom #mygirls #level2autistic #toddlermom #Love #sahm #autism #autismawareness
It’s interesting, my autistic son is similar in some ways, like he doesn’t talk and he stims, but he stays with us and is more cautious.

I’ve seen home videos of myself as a toddler and child. It still amazes me that my parents didn’t see the clear signs I showed. I just chop it up to the times.

Some of these are just differences in oldest vs second child. I know you said they’re both 2, but do you mind sharing the age in months?

I study ASD as a college major and all I can say is that, because of genetics, don't completely rule out ASD of the oldest yet. she could be high masking and regress or start to show more 1/?

What’s funny so I grew up exactly like the eldest child and turned out I had autism too lmao

Imagine this, but flipped. We were first time parents and had no idea about what he should have been doing- but now that we have baby #2 it’s so obvious how different they are 🥺

A lot of time younger siblings won’t learn to talk as quickly if their older sibling is close in age, and or if the parents are good at interpreting, because there is less need to learn to communicate

Honestly some of it is personality. My autistic kiddos always stayed by me. My neurotypical kid has all the confidence to think she doesn’t need an adult 😂 both are sensory seekers though.

🥺 ugh, can definitely tell. Especially now with being in mom groups with normal kids, ASD is SOOOO obvious. It's tough 💜

My moms best friend has an autistic daughter 1-2 years younger than me I grew up with her and I have a 3yo son now but I knew he was autistic at 9m.. he focused on his toys the same way she did

I’ve always thought me nephew showed Austin traits but this just confirmed it. Besides the stimming, he’s literally all of these.

I’m so glad you listened and acknowledged this instead of just treating like first born vs second born because I’m a lot like your younger one but my mom played it off as birth order

I am in the process of getting my youngest son evaluated. These are the differences between my son and daughter as well. He’s 2 years old.

When were you able to get her evaluated? My daughter is 2 and a half, I believe she’s autistic as well but they said it’s too early for any testing. She is currently in speech & occ therapy

I used to get lost everytime we went to the store. I would look away for two seconds and wander off. I still tend to do it to my hubby and daughter.

Our youngest is doing the exact same as your youngest. A mama just knows. We are on a two year waitlist for formal diagnosis

This is my oldest and youngest! my youngest is 2, and he is level 3 autistic. He has been in ABA therapy since March and it's made a world of difference and he loves it 🩷
