can we normalize Etsy shops listing which plastic they print with? I live in Tucson everything deforms in summer because it's not heat resistant

PETG is not for functional prints . So many tests debunk this . PLA is stronger in most applications .

Petg: strings and bubbles like hell Abs/Asa: needs enclosure (for heat and keep fumes inside (you donโ€™t want to breath this stuff in) Nylon: also needs enclosure, and can damage stock nozzles

why petg instead of abs? abs is nearly better in all matters. heat resistance, layen adhesion, finish abs is better in all

You need another category after PLA PLA+ and PLA pro has better strength and impact resistance than PETG. PETG is good for higher heat applications.

I would amendโ€ฆ abs and asa are essentially the same material and asa was specifically made to print in FDM printers better.

while this is good... ABS is also heat resistant, UV resistant and weather resistant. ABS is also the "plastic" on your car. nylon and ASA is intense materials. for any consumer. PLA/PLA+ or PETG

I am absolutely stumped on a project. I am making parts that are one time use. And really need to be slightly flexible but will not snap. I have tried polymax pc, petg, polylite abs, fiberon pa6-gf25,

PETG is also great for: - Higher Glass Transition - Lid on with Enclosure (PLA heatcreeps easier) - Parts that help with a little flex (like caps) - Oil, UV Resistant

Is there a brand of PETG you can recommend? The one I've tried has been worse than pla+ in just about every way. It warps, it breaks on layer lines, it oozes/strings, etc.
