IMO skip staying in Tahiti. Go straight to Morea and stay for 4 days in Hilton overwater hut. Then spend as much time as you can in Bora Bora in overwater bungalow. 4 seasons, St Regis or Thalasso.

Was there 20+ years ago for my honeymoon. The over water rooms on Bora Bora are simply amazing. Had some great burgers at a restaurant owned by a couple from Miami too
