For regular three-tab shingles, you should use four nails per shingle in the field and five nails per starter shingle. Wind conditions: If you live in an area with high winds, you should use five!

Missed nails-each shingle takes 4-5 nails. In two years homeowners will pay more $$ for leak repairs. 😂😂😂

me and my dad used to be contractors. we always nailed by hand and could do a big job in 1-2 days
