siping is great if you don't care about the tire manufacturer's warranty. Cutting the tread changed the original specs of the tire making it void.

I had a customer state the siping helped when pulling their boat out of the water. They didn't experience tire spin with siping when it normally would spin without.

Just buy tires that fit your needs. Do your research. Dont just take what your local tire guy offers.

Truly disappointed in this so called expert that there was no mention of compound. Not gonna help when those all seasons are bricks in the winter. Sipes only work w flexible winter rubber
