Em Lamentações 1:20 diz ²⁰ Olha, Senhor, porque estou angustiada; turbadas estão as minhas entranhas; o meu coração está transtornado dentro de mim, porque gravemente me rebelei; fora me desfilhou a espada, em casa está a morte. Mande isso pra alguém

Most swimmers think paddles are for building strength. What’s often overlooked is that paddles are primarily a feedback tool, and used without that understanding they reinforce whatever the stroke already is, good or bad. The logic behind strength training with paddles is straightforward. More surface area means more resistance. More resistance means the muscles work harder. But the stroke does not know it is supposed to improve just because the load increased. A swimmer with a poor catch and a misdirected pull will repeat that pattern with paddles on, only with more force behind it. The error gets stronger, not smaller. Where paddles genuinely earn their place is in the information they provide. A paddle that feels unstable during the catch is telling the swimmer the hand angle is off. A paddle that feels like it is pushing water sideways rather than back is telling the swimmer the pull direction is wrong. A paddle that feels effortlessly locked in from catch to finish is confirming the stroke is working. None of this information is as clear with a bare hand because the surface area is too small to make the difference noticeable. The practical shift is simple. Instead of putting paddles on and swimming a hard set, put them on and swim slowly enough to feel what they are saying. One length focused on the pressure distribution across the paddle face during the pull reveals more than ten lengths of grinding through the resistance. Technical fact: Paddles amplify hydrodynamic forces on the hand and forearm, making errors in hand pitch, catch angle, and pull direction more detectable than bare-hand swimming allows. Used at reduced speed with attentional focus, they function as a proprioceptive feedback tool. Used primarily for resistance at high intensity, they increase load without improving the mechanics generating that load. Paddles do not fix the stroke. They show you what the stroke is actually doing.
