@juliarose.md: Putting in that WORK overnight these shifts are no joke. As the only MD in-house overnight for all 3 inpatient psychiatry units I handle all new admissions, medical issues that arise and emergencies. You would think admissions overnight would be slower than during the day but in reality most of the admissions actually come in overnight because evening is when patients discharge and beds open up, they then have to be cleaned and then all the new pateints finalky come up to the floor between 8pm-1am . #medicalschool #premed #mcat #usmle #residency #womeninmedicine #doctor #medstudent #medicalresident
