@mrcurmisclassroom: They don’t teach you this, but it makes a big difference! You can apply this in any scenario really - English, Sci, Maths (eg a worksheet or cutting/gluing type task might be easier to do right before the bell goes as opposed to right in the middle of your session as it will probably result in longer transition times, more mess and harder for you to get teaching again). If you carefully plan and THINK before you implement, you can avoid the POTENTIAL of behaviours because you simply beat them in the race to boredom, mess or fatigue.
