@dailymail: A large transformer explosion and fire broke out in the Bronx this week. Authorities first received reports of a fire at a 60,000 square-foot warehouse on Bronxdale Avenue at around 2:15PM, according to the New York City Fire Department. The warehouse was used to store auto parts, hydraulic equipment, pallets and vehicles, according to officials. Shortly after, another fire and the explosion was reported at a substation on Uniondale Road about a quarter mile away.
