My boss did that for me when I stayed with my Dad for hospice when he was dying and ultimately died. He put me on a PIP and then when I passed it he just told me to make a deal with HR and leave.

Been there. I was told to take all the time I needed for a death in the family. Then told I wasn’t meeting expectations of my role cause I missed so much 🙄

I don’t get this at all, my team doesn’t even do sick days, if we are sick we let the teams chat know and everyone else covers. I’ve never been asked to work while on leave/sick and I’d never ask them
