Elevator is going to make at least $.15-$.20/ bushel for handling them plus at least $.05 for 30 days storage.Had a lot of customers turn $11.40 beans into $9.80 beans last year tho. Have a target

Your time and that bin cost doesn't factor into that?

As a Canadian farmer, we have never done the field to elevator thing. Our grain is always binned first. We have storage for all production + carryover.

neat! I'm surprised prices increase that quickly after the rush of harvest. If you waited a month more does it still increase?

I just “store” it at our local elevator. .25/bushel elavation charge and no cost of building bins maintenance costs double trucking it or risk of spoilage

Did you guys forward those bushels before harvest or just spot price them when you delivered?

Are you guys looking at forward soybean prices on the cme? If you have cheap storage you can get some nice profit from arbitraging ag futures with your storage. Lmk if you want me to explain it more
