It took me 9 months to fire an employee that couldn’t show up on time and another 8 to fire a manager that kept “fixing” punches because I had to have hr approval. But the hr people kept getting fired

changing the clock in time may not seem like a big deal, but if you add up all the 5 min here 10 min there, at the end of the year the company ends up spending A LOT of money on hours that weren't even worked. I had to do this for an employee that was always late but not late enough for our clock in system to show she was late (9 min late would clock in as on time) end of year company was wasting thousands on paying for uncorked time
