I used to think that fat loss was just about moving more 🤷‍♀️ Going into high school, I committed to running a mile every morning at 6am for the summer …I lasted 2 days 🫠 Later that year, I joined the high school basketball team, we had daily practices, ran a ton… and I still didn’t really lose any fat 🫤 I started doing 3.5 mile runs… minimal progress to show… 🙄 It wasn’t until I finally started a program, it was P90X at the time 💪 And yes, the workouts and stuff were cool… but what finally gave me success in fat loss was: Changing my eating habits 🥗 ❌ You can run 10 miles a day… but consume 5000 calories… it’s unlikely you will lose weight EVEN THOUGH you are highly active. (+ you are going to be HUNGRIER, the more active you are) ✅ I ate less high calorie dense foods, more vegetables, melons, lean proteins… I finally reduced my calorie intake and reached a deficit And I sustained that calorie deficit, and FINALLY saw consistent fat loss 💪 My mom too, she used to go to the gym for 60min every day. She would lift, then be on the elliptical, but after YEARS… no real changes 🫠 It wasn’t until she had an ankle injury where she had to be out of the gym AND I helped her start tracking her food intake..
